Aesthetic Dilemmas & How to Solve Them

There are times in clinical
practice when we are faced with a situation that has no perfect solution. This can be due to the actual dental
conditions of a patient’s mouth.
It can also be due to emotional or financial challenges for the
patient. We diagnose, treatment plan,
educate our patient, and finally present our recommendations.
In a perfect world we then
treat the patient, he or she pays the fee happily and many referrals
follow. However, since we don’t
live in a perfect world, it behooves us to be able to deal with the functional
and aesthetic challenges we face in daily practice. Be a part of this exciting multi-media program that will
present solutions to problems that many of us face everyday. Concepts and techniques that you can
put to use immediately will be discussed in this realistic and practical
presentation

Marvin A. Fier, DDS, FASDA,
ABAD is a full time practicing clinician.
He received his DDS degree from NYU in 1971, and served as a dental
officer in the US Navy. He is a
highly respected lecturer in the US and internationally on aesthetic and
restorative dentistry. He is the
executive vice-president of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics and
organizes the ASDA’s annual International Conference on Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Fier is a Fellow of the
American Society for Dental Aesthetics and a Diplomate of the American Board of
Aesthetic Dentistry. He has also
been honored with Fellowships in the International Academy for Dental-Facial
Esthetics, the Academy of Dentistry International, the American College of
Dentists, and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Fier has been a
consultant to the American Dental Association on patient education materials, and
helps manufacturers develop new products for dentistry. He is an adjunct professor/visiting
lecturer at multiple universities throughout the world.
Dr. Fier is a contributing
editor for REALITY, the information source for Esthetic Dentistry, and serves
on the Scientific Advisory Board of DENTISTRY TODAY. He publishes regularly, and his contributions to the
literature have been in the areas of aesthetics, restorative dentistry,
hypnosis, and how dentistry affects the quality of life. For the past eleven years, he has been
listed in DENTISTRY TODAY’S list of the best lecturers, “Leaders in Continuing
Education.”
