EXPANDING THE ROLE OF DENTAL ASSISTANTS FOR REMOVABLE PROSTHODONTIC PROCEDURES Hands-On Program Sponsored by an educational grant from Ivoclar Vivadent.
Thursday, November 6, 2014 8:45am – 11:45am (3 CE hrs) Exhibit
Floor Limited to 30 Participants
This program is targeted for clinicians and their dental assistants who would like to control some of the technical procedures associated with denture treatment in the office. Some of these include pouring casts, trimming casts, denture base duplication, impression tray fabrication, trimming, denture bases, and articulator mounting. Having the dental assistant provide these services not only is cost effective but will invariably facilitate the subsequent clinical appointments. In addition, the program will introduce many minor clinical, denture procedures that the dental assistant can provide that include the denture gauge, papill meter, centric tray, and biteplane records. Expanding the duties of the auxiliary staff is also very beneficial to the morale and enjoyment of working in a dental office.
Recommended for…Dentists & Assistants.
