The use of lasers in dentistry has evolved beyond a cutting
tool alone. The use of non-surgical low dose light treatment is termed
Photobiomodulation (PBM) Therapy.
This session will provide a fundamental
overview of the field and focus on the recent advances highlighting the
recommendation of PBM for OM management. These advances will emphasize the role
of oral health in overall health, specifically in improving the quality of life
and outcomes in cancer patients.
