9am ~ 12pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 ![]() Excellent Dental Photography In this limited attendance, hands-on course, learn how to get the most from your existing dental photographic equipment and how to take excellent dental photographs for records, presentations or portfolios Photographing your dental work is becoming mainstream practice, the advances in digital photography and presence of computers and electronic media in our practices made it even easier for us to document every day dental work and present it to our patients and colleagues. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of photography in general as a science and then will expose them to the different parts of the camera and how to assemble a professional dental camera. The third part of the presentation shows the dental pictures we take including the patient and the dentist position and the accessories used and, finally there will be a trouble shooting part that will show the most common mistakes and how to avoid them. Introduction to photography (digital photography in particular) Review the basics of photography and the camera and all accessories needed for intraoral photography. It will help you understand the settings and the components of the camera as well as a guide for purchasing a camera. The dental camera Learn about the different parts of the dental camera and how to adjust the settings in order to obtain a perfect image in a predictable and trouble-free manner. The photography session Instructor will illustrate basic dental photos and how to take them as well as common mistakes and how to avoid them. You are encouraged to bring your own camera! |
