Friday, May 18, 2012 Holiday Inn Airport, Buffalo, NY
UB School of Dental Medicine in conjunction with Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity with support
from the Sanford B. Sugarman Fund, present... RESOLVING OCCLUSION CONFUSION... Occlusion for Dummies! If the destructive forces from occlusion scare you, you are not alone! Exposure to
complicated techniques and equipment, a profusion of philosophies, and
meaningless rules intensifies confusion which prevents otherwise capable
dentists from performing complex dentistry.
This course will help you see how simple occlusion understanding is when broken down into its bare elements of
teeth, bones, muscles and a joint! You will gain confidence to solve bite problems and use the same
principles to predict successful
outcomes whether restoring single teeth or full arches.
What you can learn...
This course illuminates every cause, effect and treatment of
destructive bite forces. Dr Reids passionate style utilizes theory, 3-D animations, and clinical examples
to help attendees gain confidence / skills in this controversial arena.
As a General Practitioner that treated over two thousand destructive
occlusions, Dr Reid conveys relevant
information that can be used on Monday morning. "I am a general dentist and I attended your equilibration course at NSequence on April 6, 2012 I found myself a "grateful" recipient patient of an equilibration by Dr Don Reid. I'd been experiencing SEVERE temporal headaches & earaches EVERY day for at least a year. I was taking 1-4 aspirin a day for pain relief to no avail. I had multiple chiropractic adjustments thinking it was my neck radiating to the temporal & ear area with temporary relief. I had some excellent dentistry done by a colleague this past year so I didn't think I could have a dental interference. I even checked out a possible tooth abscess, also to no avail. During the course Dr Reid could see the pain on my face as the day progressed and he inquired about it . Dr Reid asked if he could do a TMD exam & possibly equilibrate if necessary. I would try anything as I was desperate to try to gain any pain relief. Within 1 hr. of his tx I was experiencing amazing pain relief I haven't had this pain since and haven't taken any otc anti-inflammatory drugs since. I realized that I need to provide this amazing service & treatment for my patients. I would like to continue to study with Dr Reid and his courses so I can accomplish this for my patients and practice such a valuable service. ~ Grateful, Deanna Brothers DDS
The Sanford B. Sugarman Fund The untimely death of
Sanford B. Sugarman, DDS in 1979, at the age of 50, resulted in the
establishment of a memorial fund through the UB Foundation. The purpose
of this fund was to institute a continuing dental education annual
program in perpetuity. The topics for these programs will be of current
clinical interest to the practicing dentists as determined by a
committee of practicing dentists. |
