Medicine, Department and Western New York ![]() 8am-4pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012 Preventative and Restorative Dentistry for the Pediatric and Adolescent Patient Treating patients in the pediatric and adolescent population
can be both rewarding and challenging.
This conference will focus on preventative and restorative dentistry
ranging from the first signs and symptoms of early childhood caries to the
latest treatment options for those patients. This presentation will provide an
update on the newest stage of knowledge in caries etiology, pathogenesis, and
prophylaxis. Emphasis will be placed on caries in children and the influences
of diet, cariogenic microorganisms as well as the protective functions of
